For 60 years, Edward Tufte copyrighted, wrote, designed, printed, advertised, sold 13 books and booklets on information models, data analysis, dataviz, and developed the vocabulary for data models (chartjunk, data-ink, lie factors, truth/integrity, sparklines, small multiples, imagequilts, slope graphs. . .). Sold 3 million copies, won 35 book awards, 9 honorary degrees.
