Continuous live video of of Mei Xiang, a giant panda, and her cub, Tai Shan, at the Smithsonian’s National Zoo during Washington, DC daylight hours here.
WARNING: For some, panda cam has proved highly addictive. Users may wish to place the panda-cam live video in a discreet corner of the desktop while simultaneously running a spreadsheet or whatever.

It’s Panda feeding time at 14.34.41 in the afternoon.
[Later] Panda cam, like the sky, pretty much goes dark about 18.45 (US eastern time) this time of year.

Indeed! Now that Tai Shan has been allowed to go outdoors, I find that the best time to watch is early in the morning between 7am and 9am ET. Tai Shan is a perfect, minimal design form — no wonder he’s become the new poster child for Cute.
Addictive, yes. At our house, we call little guy “Truman.”
Attack of the Pandas: Will Taiwan’s wary, pro-independence government succumb to a pair of
